Ghost is an open source content management for your audience with memberships. Think of it as OnlyFans, on steroids, with your own domain, and membership payments that go directly to you.
The easiest path to spin up your members site:
- DigitalOcean Account:

- New Droplet.
- Select Marketplace.
- Select Blogs & Forms.
- Scroll til you find Ghost, and click create Droplet.
- When selecting your Plan, select General Purpose, scroll plans to the left to the cheapest $5/month (1GB/1CPU/25GB SSD Disk).
- Create a New SSH Key, and store it in a secure place.
- Click Create Droplet.
- Now SSH to the ip address of your new Ghost Droplet (ssh root@[ip-address], and follow the Ghost setup questions (your email, and site url).
Ghost Payment Setup Process:
- Setup a Stripe account.
- In Ghost, under Labs, select Enable Membership.
- Enter your Stripe membership information.
- Enter your membership per month, and annually options.
