Strobing in the Rain with Paola
I knew a storm was rolling in. I watched a squall line on the radar in the parking lot of Upham Beach. Actress & Model Paola brought a friend who ended up being invaluable. We traveled light with only a single strobe, softbox, gown, camera & trigger. Just as we approached the breakwater a light drizzle started. Paola used the garment bag containing the gown as shelter. It then absolutely poured on us. It occasionally let up to shoot quickly, but then my trigger failed. We shot some natural light, but the shoot was a bust. Paola was professional, energetic, and sported a positive attitude the entire time. Her friend who’s name escapes me, was an absolute godsend. None of the shots would have happened without her. We’ve rescheduled for another shoot, and 🤞 I’m able to capture this stunning, and talented woman with a blazing sunset with full BTS, & drone footage.
